Mike started as a photographer, and over the weeks and months, he would teach me about reporting. Mike traveled to KVOA in Tucson, Arizona where he had his first five days a week reporting gig. After a couple of years in I had the opportunity to anchor the weekend evening newscasts.

He was hired as a general assignment reporter Wednesday-Sunday at KTVU in March 2005. Additionally, he assisted in launching Mornings on 2 Saturdays and Sundays, co-anchoring with Claudine Wong. Years later, Mike assisted in launching the 9 a.m. newscast, The Nine, and also KTVU FOX 2 News at 4. Furthermore, he currently anchors the 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. hours, KTVU FOX 2 News at Noon, and report for a number of special projects.
