Trevor Noah Biography

Trevor Noah is a South African-American stand-up comedian, political commentator, Tv show host, actor, and producer famous for hosting American’s comic news program, The Daily Show on Comedy Central.

He began his career in 2002 back in South Africa, his homeland and through a role in an episode in the then South African soap opera Isidingo. He then started hosting his own radio show, Noah’s Ark on YFM, a Gauteng’s leading youth radio station. He though dropped his radio show to focus on comedy.

In the line in of Comedy career, he worked along with other South African comedians including David Kau, Kagiso Lediga, Marc Lottering, Barry Hilton, Riaad Moosa, Darren Simpson, and Nik Rabinowitz. He got international working with comedians like Paul Rodriguez, Carl Barron, Dan Ilic, and Paul Zerdin. Moreover, he opened both the Gabriel Iglesias Show in November 2007 and Russell Peters during their South African tour.

In 2011, he moved to the United States and back in January 2012, he became the first South African stand-up comedian to feature on the Tonight Show. Similarly, he as well got to be the first African to feature on Late Show with David Letterman.
