Lisa Hughes an American journalist working at WBZ-TV News weekdays at 5 PM, 6 PM, and 11 PM with co-anchor David Wade. Hughes has won an Emmy award twice in 1996 and 2008, respectively. Hughes joined the station in June 2000 after working as a correspondent for CBS Newspath, the CBS-TV Station Group’s satellite news service. She was based in Washington, DC.

Before joining WBZ-TV in 2000, Hughes worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at KIRO-TV in Seattle, Washington beginning in 1995. She was the main anchor and reporter for KBCI-TV (now KBOI-TV) in Boise, Idaho from 1992–1994, and was an anchor and reporter for KCBY-TV in Coos Bay, Oregon from 1991-1992.
Not only does Lisa contribute to her job, but she also participates in several local charities and organisations. She’s on Big Sister Boston’s board of directors. Lisa also serves on the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital development board as well as volunteering her time with Project 351. She also serves at Boston Children’s Hospital and Dorchester’s Boys and Girls Clubs.
From 2011, to assist raise funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Lisa started riding the annual Pan-Mass Challenge. Similarly, she ran the American Liver Foundation Boston Marathon in 2002.
