Andrew has been a weather reporter, weather and forecast reporter design visual designer at WNDU-TV in the South Bend-Mishawaka area since September 2021. While at Valpo, he gained forecasting knowledge by helping the Valparaiso University Storm Interception Team (VUSIT) conduct meteorological consultations regarding tornadoes and tornadoes.
Additionally, Andrew serves on the staff of Valpo’s student-run radio station, WVUR, where he reports on various storms and broadcasts news and weather reports almost daily. Andrew served as news director during his junior year and was promoted to president during his senior year.
He also served as director and chief operating officer of VUTV, a student-run television station in Valpo. He said his biggest accomplishment at VUTV was working behind the scenes on a 12-hour fundraiser to help raise money for Valparaiso University. This event helped Andrew gain experience with Chroma Wall, which prepared him for a career on the airwaves shortly after college.
From 2016 to 2021, he worked for WDAY in Fargo, North Dakota, covering the unpredictable and changing climate of the Northern Plains. During his time in North Dakota, he encountered numerous storms, hurricanes, and freezing temperatures, as well as temperatures as low as -68°C. In her spare time, she enjoys taking long walks along Lake Michigan and cooking with her husband.
