Dr. John Torres, MD an American medical correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC. As an emergency room physician, his reporting covers a range of health-related issues. Prior to him joining MSNBC, Torres worked with NBC’s 9News in Colorado.
He answered viewers’ medical questions and reported on breaking health stories while running his clinical practice. As a former US Air Force veteran and pilot, Torres has contributed to rescuing efforts out of the South Pole.
He as well set up medical care units and led rescue missions after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and made humanitarian trips to Central and South America. Torres also teaches NATO Special Forces a variety of tactical combat casualty care, combat simulations, and medical leadership.
