While working with News 19, he had the opportunity to cover major national stories such as Hurricane Florence, the shooting of several law enforcement officers in Florence, SC as well as Hurricane Michael.
During Michael’s time at Hofstra, he hosted the student-run radio morning show on WRHU-88.7 FM, home to the New York Islanders. Also, he co-anchored the television news program Hofstra Today, hosted F.Y.I. Long Island as well as hosted four of Hofstra’s long-standing fall festivals that drew thousands of Hofstra students, family and alum each year.
In the fall of 2016, Michael covered the Presidential debate as well as the Democratic National Convention. Also, Michael had the opportunity to interview the Independent Presidential candidate Jill Stein.
