Omid Soltani Biography

Omid Soltani a.k.a “The Voice” an Iranian-American singer known as one of the Top 10 successful young Superstars in the Persian music industry, having released eight albums and several singles.

He had his big break after signing a recording contract with Taraneh Records in 1992 and went on to release numerous hit songs including “To Mahshari,” “Gol-e Royaaee” and “Dooset Daram.”

Soltani was born on 28 July 1964, in Aligudarz, Iran, and raised in Tehran.

In 1992, Soltani signed a recording contract with Taraneh Records, then moved to Los Angeles. Following the next year, he released his very first album Baran (Rain). His debut single with the same name became popular hit at that time and it came into success.

From there he released his 2nd album in 1995, “Har Do Ashegh” (Both In Love). In 1996, he signed a recording contract with Caltex Records and worked with Three Albums namely “Hazrate Eshgh” (His Love) in 1996, “Parsehaye Asheghaneh” (Romantic Mooning) in 1997, and “Sarboland” (Proud) in 1999.

Some songs became popular like “Mahtab” (Moonlight) and “Doostam Nadashti” (Don’t Love Me) in “Har Do Ashegh”, “Tekieh Gah” in “Hazrate Eshgh”, “Yasameen” and “Farmane Eshgh” (The Command Of Love) in “Parsehaye Asheghane”, and “Shekastani” (Breakable) in “Sarboland”.

Due to his period in America was forced to leave the country and immigrate to Israel. He participated in the Israeli art scene, hoping to get away from the harsh retribution.

After few years he returned to America and resumed his activities. In 2002, he signed a recording contract with Avang Music and released his 6th Album “Victory (Piroozi)”, which contained “To Mahshari (I’m Cool)”, “Gole Royaee (Dream Flower)”, and “Dooset Daram (I Love You)” which became popular during at that time.

In 2006, his released his 7th album “Entezaar”( Fall) and in 2007, he collaborated with fellow persian singer Leila Forouhar in the song “Iran, Iran” produced and released by Tapesh Records.

In 2010, he released his 8th album “Shabe Milad” (Overnight), and singles, “Sarzamine Madari” (Motherland), “Mano Khode Man” (My Own Menu), “Negahe Aval” (First Look), “Ghermez” (Red), “Khaneye Bi Saghf” (Home Without a Roof), and “Khosh Ghadam” (Welcome Step).

Still in 2010, he collaborated with singer/songwriter Mohammad Moghaddam in the song “I Have A Dream (Roya)”, which explains about having a dream to have a peaceful and war-free world.

In 2013, he collaborated with former Modern Talking and german singer Thomas Anders in the song “We Are One”. The song was accordingly composed half-English and half-Farsi. The song has also filmed a clip that renders the meaning of the text. The song was produced by Farhad Zand and released under Sony Music, Warner Music, and KING Records.
