Andrea Berg ( Andrea Ferber) a German schlager singer who began her career in 1992 where she performed at carnivals as a child, after being discovered by producer Eugen Romer. Her second album, Gefühle which means Feelings in the English language proved her commercial breakthrough.
While young she began to experiment with performing short sketches at carnivals and other celebrations. She then played with a band, and as well worked backstage on stage set-up and drove the band’s van. During this time she supported herself working as a nurse in the intensive care and oncology departments of a hospital.

Berg worked backstage on a stage set up as well as in a band. Berg worked at a hospital as a nurse in the Intensive Care and Oncology. Her professional singing career started in the year 1992 after she was recognized by producer Eugene Romer.
Romer had received cassettes with her recordings. Bergs’s first debut studio album was ”Du bist Frei” which in English means You Are Free. The album contains singles like Kilimandscha which means Kilimandjaro in English and ”Schau mir noch mal ins Gesicht” meaning Look Me in the Face Once Again in English.
Her second album, Gefühle which means Feelings in the English language proved her commercial breakthrough, which contained singles like “Wenn du mich willst, dann küß mich doch”, and “Einmal nur mit dir alleine sein”. In 1994, with the song “Steig wieder auf”, Berg reached the first place of the ZDF-Hitparade.
Andrea released her third studio album, Träume lügen nicht (English: “Dreams Don’t Lie”), in 1997. The album reached place 71 in the German album charts, the first single being, “Warum nur träumen” (English: “Why Just Dream”), “Warum nur träumen stayed uin the charts for 15 weeks and was number one on some radio playlist.
Berg released her fourth album Zwischen Tausend Gefühlen (English: “Between a Thousand Feelings”) after the birth of her daughter in 1998. The album contained twelve songs, three of them released in 1999. Berg released her fifth album, Weil ich verliebt bin (English: “Because I’m in Love”), the same year. One of its single, “Vielleicht ein Traum zu viel” reached the third place the ZDF-Hitparade.
Berg also reached the third place of Hits des Jahres (English: Hits of the Year) in January 2000. The single was number one for several weeks in the German Top 20 airplay charts. Berg has been a registered trademark in Germany since 18 October 2000. She released the compilation Best Of in October 2001. The album features most of her successful songs. In 2003, the album went double platinum and sold two million copies.
As of 2012, it was seven-times-platinum. The album, in August 2011, reached place 59 of the Swiss hit parade and was certified gold. The album is one of her best that spent most weeks on German and Australian album charts. in 2003, her studio album Nah am Feuer (English: “Close to the Fire”) went gold in 2003.
Her 2006 album Splitternackt (English: “Stark Naked”) reached number-one on the German album charts, where it remained for several weeks. Her single “Du hast mich tausendmal belogen” (English: “You Have Lied to Me a Thousand Times”), reached the second place of the GEMA Top 10 of collected international sales in 2007.
