Crawford while young struggled with his weight. He experienced near-drowning at age ten. He was abandoned by his father who was a bodybuilder. His weight has been the most notable characteristic of his career over the years. In 2015, however, he began his journey to lose weight.
On his visit to Sway In the Morning show in the year 2016, Lavell announced that he had wanted to lose weight so that his wife and children could stay around for longer and would not want to leave his wife. Lavell underwent gastric sleeve surgery in March 2016 after a period of weight loss through diet and exercise.
The operation is done in two stages, one year apart from the other, according to Black Doctor. Lavell did the first step in reducing the size of the belly. Lavell weighed up to 475 pounds during his years of overweight. He’s fallen 120 pounds now, and he’s 350 pounds down.
