Wings for Success announced that QVC program host Leah Williams, who helms the network’s popular Saturday morning “AM Style” fashion show, will emcee its sixth annual fall fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. October 15 at the Downingtown Country Club. Proceeds will support the Chester County non-profit, which serves about 600 women a year.
Founded in 1997, Wings helps women in need to become economically self-sufficient by outfitting and equipping them for job training, interviews, and the workplace.
Earlier this year, the group opened a second office, in Kennett Square, for the convenience of clients in Southern Chester County Admission to the October 15 “Wings Fling” event is $55 per person or $100 per couple and entitles attendees to hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and one free drink, with subsequent access to a cash bar. Activities include a silent auction and wine grab, and Wings clients will share stories of how Wings helped them overcome difficult situations and succeed in the workplace.
