Anthony Hopkins is a Wellesian actor, producer and director who was born and raised as Philip Anthony Hopkins in Margam, England. He has won numerous awards, including two Academy Awards for Best Actor, the British Academy Television Award, two Emmy Awards and the Cecil B. DeMille Award. Queen Elizabeth II Elizabeth also praised his contribution to art.

He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003, and in 2008 he received the BAFTA Lifetime Achievement Award in Film and Television Arts from the British Academy of Arts.

In 1960 Hopkins made his professional debut at the Swansea Little Theater in the play For a Cigarette at the Swansea Palace Theatre. 》. Laurence Olivier watched his shows for a while and, after watching him for many years, persuaded him to join the Royal National Theater in London in 1965.

When Olivier became ill, he replaced Olivier. While performing August Strindberg’s Dance of Death in 1967, he contracted a stomach ailment. Olivier wrote in his autobiography, Confessions of an Actor, that after several years in the play, Laurence Olivier noticed him and persuaded him to join the Royal National Theater in London in 1965.

He was very nervous before he left. on stage until that night. This later changed, Hopkins recalled of his mentor: “He [Olivier] said: ‘Remember: Nervousness is nothing; you want to know what people think about you; You want to know what others think about you. Jump off the edge.” That’s great advice.”
