In the summer of 1999, He got recruited to WSVN, giving the 7 Weather Center a decade of service! He distinctly recalls getting ready to move to Miami. He began his career in western Montana, he got was recruited in 1994 as the main weather anchor for KPAX-TV, Missoula.
He moved to WPTA-TV in Ft. one year back. Wayne, Indiana, near Wabash, where he was born. He spent 5 years tracking tornadoes. Then, he got moved to south before the new Millennium and Miami became home.
He rolocated back to Indiana in 2003 and joined WTHR in Indianapolis. “It featured a special studio that housed a “SkyTrak” 24-hour weather station. There, for hours (on-air), thunderstorms and snowstorms were constantly monitored, from Illinois to Ohio.
He got back to WSVN working as a weekend evening meteorologist following many snow events. The “Indy 500” Tornado Outbreak of 2004 and Hurricane Wilma in 2005 are highlights of Brent’s weather career. BHe as well hosts the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon’s longtime host and focused his services to the Make a Wish Foundation.
He has volunteered at number of events with the Humane Society. On weekend evenings during 7 NEWS at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 10:00 pm, and 11:00 pm, yhe features on weather predictions. He as wel stands in, on occasion, for Chief Meteorologist Phil Ferro.
