Almarvez won the 2009 search for the Ford Supermodel of the World Philippines, Almarvez started in the fashion industry and in 2010 represented the Philippines in São Paulo, Brazil in second place, which was the highest placement of the country in the competition at that time. She received a contract of $150,000 for placement on Ford Models.
She has appeared for several fashion magazines in editorials including the Chinese Vogue, V, Teen Vogue, Elle’s Russian version, KT Achuleta’s New York Times T Magazine, US Glamour, Glamour Italia, Glamour UK, A Magazine, Wonderland Magazine and US Town and Country.
She featured in the local scene on the cover of Zone Magazine, Wedding Essentials Magazine, Sense & Style and MEGA Magazine and featured in the Philippines editorials of Preview and Mega Magazine.
Almarvez had her debut walking for Diane Von Furstenberg, Sophie Theallet, and Peter Som at New York Fashion Week Fall 2010. She walked the Lacoste, Cynthia Steffe, Wayne Lee, and Rachel Comey runways as well. For their S / S 12 campaign Almarvez did an ad for Hush Puppies. During the New York Fashion Week in autumn 2012, she walked for a total of 13 designers including Nanette Lepore, Miguel Adrover, Ruffian, Mara Hoffman, and The Blonds. In March 2012, she posed for the March issue of Glamour Italia photographed by Hans Feurer for an editorial “techno sports.”
In August 2012, she and Yasmin Bidois featured on a Xi Sinsong photographed editorial for The Ones2watch, “Wahine.” She has also featured on an editorial for U+Mag UK photographed by Rokas Darulis. She also featured in the September edition of Glamour UK, with Vilde Gotschalksen captured by Chris Craymer, in an editorial called “1,2,3 … Smile.”
She also did an editorial with Lydia Carron for Glamour USA the same month. In October 2012, she had an editorial with Kate King, Hannah Holman, Kremi Otashliyska, and Juliana Schurig for the NY Times T Magazine.
