Hving been was born in Ft. Myers and grew up in the Tampa Bay area, Pasco County. He there after enrolled at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina where he earned his degree in broadcasting. He served as a reporter at WIVK radio and WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. He later got back to his hometown and joined FOX 13 in January of 1998.
He has earned three Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards including his first Emmy was for a series of feature reports following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the NFC Championship game in St. Louis in 2000.
His second Emmy back in 2015 after profiling famous photographer Bud Lee wike his third Emmy was earned for a feature story he did on a butterfly farmer in St. Petersburg. He is as well an avid sports lover who always roots for the local teams; the Bulls, the Bolts, the Rays, and, of course, the Bucs!
