Griffiths began by starring in Children’s Ward at the age of 13 between 1994 and 1999. Apart from his long-running roles in The Bill and Shameless, he has made guest appearances on Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, Clocking Off, and many other programs. Griffiths then starred together with Conrad Westmaas in the short movie The Visitor in 2007. He has also appeared as ”Psycho” in the movie There’s Only One Jimmy Grimble.

Griffiths starred in the British vampire movie Dead Cert which was directed by Steven Lawson. He also appeared in Waterloo Road as Dylan Hodge in Series 6 in 2010/2011. Griffiths then took his top off and appeared sporting a red boxing kit in the August 2011 issue of Attitude Magazine. He then appeared in Vera, on ITV in the episode, ”The Sea Glass”, and he played the role of Steve Stonnall in 2016.

In 2020, he starred in an episode of the BBC One drama Casualty, as Peter Hawker, a man who’d suffered a brain injury.
