Dana Jacobson an American host and correspondent for CBS News working as a co-host for CBS This Morning Saturday. She joined broadcast back in July 2018, she is as well an anchor & reporter for CBS Sports/CBS SportsNetwork. She joined CBS News in 2015, 2 years after she began working for CBS SportsNetwork. Before that Dana spent a decade at ESPN 2002-2012.

Dana got named co-host of Cold Pizza in March 2005 and transitioned with the show as it became ESPN First Take. On Monday, December 26, 2011, she announced that Friday, December 30, 2011, would be her final day on “First Take.”

She got back to anchoring SportsCenter shortly thereafter. On March 27, 2012, USA Today reported that Jacobson would leave ESPN when her contract expires at the end of April. Monday, April 30, 2012, was her last day at ESPN when she anchored the 6-8 p.m. ET SportsCenter show.

On July 13, 2018, Dana, together with long-time CBS correspondent Michelle Miller, got named the new co-hosts of the Saturday edition of CBS This Morning.

Dana started her television career as an assignment editor at the CBS affiliate in her hometown of Detroit, Mich. She turned her focus to on-air reporting and anchoring in Traverse City, Mich. and Sacramento, Calif. where she was honored with National Headliner and Regional Edward R Murrow Awards for sports reporting.

Back on Friday, January 25, 2008, there were reports that Dana the co-host of the morning sports talk program “EPSN First Take” was suspended by the network for one week because of remarks she made at a January 11th roast for fellow ESPN personalities Mike Green Berge and Mike Golic.

Her suspension comes on the heels of criticism received by several Catholic advocacy groups. According to reports, an inebriated Jacobson appeared on stage at the non-televised event drinking from a bottle of Belvedere Vodka and said “Fuck Notre Dame,” “Fuck Touchdown Jesus,” and “Fuck Jesus”. Over the years, Dana (a University of Michigan alum) and Golic (a former footballer for Notre Dame) have exchanged digs about the rivalry between the two schools.
