David Cox Biography
David is a Scottish professional footballer. He plays as a forward for Albion Rovers football club. Previously, he played for several football clubs including Kilmarnock, Montrose, Annan Athletic, Alloa Athletic, Peterhead, Airdrieonians, Forfar Athletic, and Cowdenbeath.

David Cox Career
David started his professional football career with Scottish side Kilmarnock Football Club. On 10th, May, 2008, he made his first-team debut, at the age of 19 years. In his debut match, Kilmarnock won 2-0 against Hearts in the Scottish Premier League. In January 2009, he left Kilmarnock and on May 10th, May, 2012, signed a two-year contract with the Scottish side Annan Athletic Football Club.
At the end of 2012, David signed for Peterhead on loan, he later signed a permanent transfer deal on January 12th, January, 2013. He played for Peterhead for two and a half years. He then signed with Scottish League One side Airdrieonians in June 2015. He later left and signed for Forfar Athletic.
In January 2018, he was signed by Cowdenbeath.

In February 2018, David said that he had been mocked by players and fans for discussing his mental health problems. In December 2019, He said that the abuse had continued and had worsened, he said that it had caused him to be overly aggressive on the pitch, and as a consequence, he was considering quitting playing football, but his club had offered their support.
David signed with Scottish League Two side Albion Rovers, in March 2021. On 29th, April, 2021, during a match against Stenhousemuir, he left the stadium at half-time after an alleged taunt from opposition defender Jonathan Tiffoney. He said that he was retiring from football due to the incident. Tiffoney later denied the allegations and stated it was Cox that verbally abused him.
