He went to good schools and had great teachers around him. Doug even drove a different car when he was nineteen. However, he never found peace and happiness with what he received from his father. So, Doug dropped out of college at the age of eighteen and began to develop a habit of reckless quitting that got him into a lot of trouble, especially with the law. He used drugs, spent years in prison, and traveled illegally off the coast of California.
When Doug stumbled upon an old dusty Bible in the cave he was camping in at the time, he decided to believe that the Lord Jehovah was real and alive. He read them all and decided to dedicate his life as a fisherman to Jesus Christ. Eventually, Doug joined the Adventist church in his hometown and began to grow spiritually. He studied many religions and became a preacher with a special talent for preaching the Word of God to unbelievers who minded his worldly faith. As of 2023, Doug is an international pastor, now home to his own Christian radio station “Amazing Facts”, and is the head pastor of the Granite Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church.
