Evan Mobley is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also played college basketball for his USC Trojans.
Mobley began training basketball as a child under the guidance of his father. As a freshman, he played high school basketball at Rancho His Christian School in Temecula, California. His older brother Isaiah was a teammate for the first three years.
He signed a deal to play college basketball at USC in 2020 with offers from UCLA and Washington. He led the team with 21 points and nine rebounds in a 95-87 overtime victory over California Baptiste.
He entered the 2021 NBA Draft in April 2021, waiving the rest of his college eligibility in the process. He was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2021 NBA Draft and officially signed with the Cavaliers on August 3, 2021.
