LaGoo started off his career in the Midwest and later moved to Portland, then the Philippines followed weather stories around the country before landing in Denver, then Alaska, and now Spokane.

He thereafter worked for KTVA in Anchorage as the morning meteorologist. He being part of an Emmy Award-winning team that broadcast in the aftermath of the magnitude 7.1 earthquake that struck on November 30, 2018. He anchored on weather and has been the foundation of career. Long before he was a meteorologist he would track winter storms moving across the country in hopes of finding fresh snow to ski.
