John Hendricks is an Emmy-nominated reporter from Oregon who joined the FOX 12 team in July 2016. In the fall of 2009, he started out as a morning producer on KTVZ in Bend, Oregon, before going on the air late at night. It covers everything from dangerous storms to rapid fire during the bend.
moved to Spokane in June 2014 as a news reporter for KXLY-TV. While there, he recorded a fire that destroyed the main building in Washington the following summer and a massive tornado that killed thousands in November. NATAS Northwest has named John as a Multimedia Writer in 2015 and 2016, and has been nominated for a two-time State Emmy Award as Video Editor.
RTDNF selected John as a member of the RIAS Berlin Committee’s American Journalist Trade Program in the fall of 2013. He traveled to Berlin, Fortress Europe, Frankfurt and Brussels to research current events, legal issues, bridges and cultural issues. Before starting his career in television journalism, John worked for College Broadcasters Inc.
He studied Digital Media Communications (Go BEAVS!) at Oregon State University, where he was selected as an Open Finalist. for two years of publication. The Oregon Broadcasting Association honored it with “Best Cinematography” and “Best Broadcasting” awards.
