John McCaa WFAA-TV
McCaa began working for WFAA-TV back in 1984 as a reporter in Forth Worth but was later on promoted to chief of the newsroom and was transferred to the Dallas newsroom.
He then worked as a weekend news anchor as a manager, and and as well served as co-anchor for the 5 p.m. newscast. He as well hosted a series of webcasts from the Republican convention during the 2000 presidential primaries.
He then became the co-anchor of the 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. weekday newscasts in 1992. McCaa mostly anchored alongside Gloria Campos until her retirement in 2014 after which she was replaced by Cynthia Izaguirre.
He later announced his retirement back on August 6, 2018, and his last day at the station was March 1, 2019, where he did his final broadcast. He as well worked at WFAA for a total of 35 years. He was replaced by Chris Lawrence.
