Miller is an NBC26 sports anchor. He started his career as a sports reporter on a television channel. He graduated from high school in 2010 and joined the U.S. Marine Corps as an intelligence officer. Then, in 2012, he went to the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He left the Marine Corps in 2015 to attend the University of Minnesota Hubbard School of Journalism.

While at the University of Minnesota, John covered the Minnesota Gophers football team for the Daily Minnesotan and worked in the sports departments of CBS WCCO-TV and NBC KARE-11. He graduated from university in the fall of 2019. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he joined CBS station KBZK in Bozeman, Montana.

During his tenure at KBZK, Miller has covered everything from Montana State’s journey to the FCS National Championship game against North Dakota State to high school sports. In her spare time, she enjoys finding and binge-watching reality TV series, watching sports, and spending time with her family and two dogs. But he spends a lot of time in the gym.
