Morgerman is knonw as the founder of icyclone, the brand name under which he chases hurricanes. With the dedication and passion for chasing cyclones, he is nicknamed icyclone.

Back in 2013, the storm chaser along with his chase team went to East Asia and captured one of the most powerful typhoons in the Philippines, a category-5 super typhoon Haiyan.

His experience he had in Asia was traumatizing because he saw bodies across the streets amid the typhoon Haiyan. Roofs and windows of the hotel stayed in were blown off by the strong winds and people were swept away in the floods. Later on, they got military rescue.

His icyclone chase team recorded 53 cyclones among them, five category-5 cyclones, and seven category-4 hurricanes. The team initially started chasing storms in the USA but now they have expanded to East Asia, North America, and Australia and look to expand further. He has also co-authored an academic paper published by the American Meteorological Society, AMS.
