Katherine Ryan Family
Katherine is of Irish ancestry from his paternal side. His father relocated to Canada from Ireland and owns an engineering company and is also a draftsman while her mother owns an IT consulting company and she is from Canada. They are Finbar Ryan and Julie McCarthy, respectively.
Katherine was raised up along with her two younger siblings, both sisters. The Ryan family resided in Sarnia and would often visit their father’s parents in Ireland. Her parents parted ways when she was 15 years old and by the age of 18, she left home for the University of Toronto to study city planning.

Ryan is in a civil partnership with Bobby Koostra who is her childhood sweetheart. Kootstra a Canadian native and is believed to be working in the broadcast industry. The duo met and started their relationship way back in their young days but grew part. 20 years later, in 2018, they got back together and rekindled their love.
As of December 2019 the duo entered into a civil partnership. According to Katherine, the ceremony took place in Denmark and it was the “quickest and easiest”.
