Prior to joining NBC10, she went to Bucknell University where she received a degree in Geography. Throughout college, Zachry did a host of broadcasting internships, including one at WHYY in Philadelphia. She also worked at Roswell, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Hartford, Connecticut.
 
She earned an opportunity to travel to Penn State to cover the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse Scandal and remains the most memorable reporting experience. Additionally, she spent weeks at State College, where Zachry covered the fallout, Sandusky’s conviction, and the trial. Out of that, she became one of the several reporters who earned an Emmy award for coverage of the difficult story.

Zachry is a proud and active member of Students Run Philly Style, an organization that pairs city students with running mentors who, through race training, help students improve their grades and overall lifestyle. When she is not on air, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and being active.
