Hampton served as a studio guest during a live newscast in her hometown of Augusta, GA. At the time the show opened, she knew a career in news was in her future and she got goosebumps. She began as a studio camera operator at WAGT at the age of 18 and quickly worked her way into the newsroom as a reporter.
She began working with WBTV for what she calls, “The best job in the world”, five years later, in 2013. She reports daily on The Good News. She has been visiting the streets and taking viewer suggestions on stories that encourage us and make us smile since March 2009.
