Currently, Liam works as a 60 Minutes reporter for Nine Entertainment. Prior to this he wrote about Triple M in Sydney and 3SR in Shepparton, Victoria. While working at Perth Radio, Liam also worked as a reporter for The News Group, The Sunday Times. He has also appeared on television as a presenter on the 7.30 Show WA, ABC TV and Australia’s Channel 9 (GTV Melbourne), presenting news and current affairs.
In 2002, Liam received a Churchill Scholarship to study Journalism Studies. He spent three months in England and the United States. In July 2006, Liam moved to 60 Minutes from rival Perth station 720 ABC and subsequently left Perth station 6PR, where he worked until 2012. He left the media and accepted a job in the creative department of Shell International in London. It returned to nine and 60 minutes in 2015.
In 2021, he returned to 6PR, now owned by Nine Entertainment, to host the morning show alongside his current role on 60 Minutes. In September 2022, he announced his departure from 6PR and 60 Minutes.
