He interned for Richard Luterman at WJBK in Detroit and learned the basics of television from his high school TPW teacher Roger Smith. Additionally, Matt laid a solid foundation for his television career. Matt began his career at Tornado Alley and worked in the weekend weather department for KWES-TV for five years before moving to the WITN program, becoming the youngest Weather Reporter at the historic Building station.
From sailing to the Greek islands to the wineries of Paris and high above the Cliffs of Moher, he learned the importance of interacting with different cultures and places.
