Amann worked for “General Bonner Daily” and “Süddeutsche Zeitung”. Aman, editor of Germany’s “Financial Times” newspaper, writes exclusively about Middle Eastern affairs. In 2006 he joined the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and wrote mostly on labor issues.
In 2011 Melanie received her PhD. Doctor of law from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, she has a thesis on electoral law. By joining Der Spiegel in 2013, she was covering the right wing of the CDU/CSU and the then-emerging populist Alternative for Germany (AfD). [3] She became head of the Berlin office in 2019.
In May 2021, the newspaper announced that Amann and Thorsten Dörting will create a script together with Director Clemens Höges.
