Following the emergence of the video , TMZ reported that he had issued an apology statement : ” I’m embarrassed and sorry . I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back . There are no excuses to use this type of language , ever .”
Moreover , Radio stations , streaming services , and record labels distanced themselves from Wallen after the video of him using a racial slur surfaced online . By Wednesday morning , 3rd , February , 2021, Apple, Spotify , iHeartmedia , Entercom had removed Morgan from playlists and airwaves. The country singer’s record label and management company , Big Loud , announced that it would suspend his contract indefinitely . Sir frousXM also pulled his music from its platforms and so is Cumulus Media , a major owner of country music stations . In addition , CMT television network said it was pulling all of Morgan’s appearances from its platform .
