Pastor Robert Morris an American founder and lead pastor of Gateway Church, a multicampus church based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

After the establishment in 200, the church has grown with over more than 71,000 active members. Robert’s television program telecasts in over 190 countries. In addition, his radio program, Worship & the Word with Pastor Robert airs in more than 1,800 radio markets across America.

He was born and raised in a christian home where he got in to the ministry at an early age. However, he was an illicit drug user and sexually promiscuous until he genuinely gave his life to Christ at the age of 19.

Being raised up while undergoing teaching the wary of Charismatic doctrine and attended two Southern Baptist colleges. He though never earned a degree. After he befriended James Robison, the former Baptist evangelist, he serves as an Apostolic Elder at Gateway. He as well serves as an associate pastor at a local church before resigning one year before the establishment of the Gateway Church.

He preached for Trinity Fellowship Network, an Amarillo-based network of charismatic churches led by Jimmy Evans. Jimmy is famous for his Marriage Today ministry. However, he also serves as one of Gateway’s Senior Pastors.

His TV show; Pastor Robert Morris Ministries that was formerly known as The Blessed Life broadcasts on both Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar Television Network. Morris openly supports Christians being active in the public arena. Furthermore, he is a member of President Donald Trump’s Executive Council of Evangelical Leaders. However, this has earned him public enmity among liberal Christians.

On the Easter Sunday of 2000, he launched Gateway Church at a hotel in Gravepine, Texas. Later in June 2003, the church had planned to open its original Southlake campus. The campus was opened and now hosts The King’s University, a Non-accredited Bible College founded by Jack Hayfor. This was after the University relocated from California in 2012.

The church has over 40,000 active members. This would be fair to make it one of the largest churches in the United States. Gateway holds 27 services each weekend at eight locations with its main campus being the 4,000 Southlake, Texas. Other campuses are located in; North Richland Hills, North Fort Worth, North Dallas, Frisco, Grand Prairie, Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Moreover, the church has two prison campuses; one inside the Coffield Unit, the largest prison in the Texas prison system, and another at Estes Unit), with a ninth location planned for Justin (northwest of Southlake) planned for late 2019.

He is as well an author having 14 books, which all are taken from various sermon series. His church also produces music through Gateway Worship.
