Water started off his career performing comedy in New York City at local open mics back in college. He got back to the east coast and After two years of his stay and performing in the Bay Area. New York Magazine said Waters was one of “Ten New Comedians That Funny People Find Funny” in 2009. He started serving as a co-host of The Daily Line on the Versus Network back in 2010. He, penned articles on sports and comedy in a section of ESPN.com titled Reese’s Piece. He later joined The Weather Channel’s AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters, as a weather and sports correspondent in 2014.
ESPN named him as the SportsCenter correspondent back in January 2015. He served as a guest speaker at The Friars Club Super Bowl Roast where he poked fun at Terry Bradshaw. He got back to his Washington, D.C. roots and joined WUSA9 as the host of Get Up DC! in January 2018. He later left Get Up DC! and transferred to WUSA9’s 7:00 p.m. program The Q&A, one year later.
