She rose to fame in 2001 when she was 14 years old. Won the Australian Junior 100m and 90m hurdles titles. After his 2002 injury, he made his international debut at the 2003 World Junior Championships in Sherbrooke, Canada, where he won the gold medal in the 100m hurdles. In 2003 he represented Australia at the Open World Championships in Paris. In 2004, he won the bronze medal in the 100 meters at the World Junior Athletics Championships.
