Lock began his career as a regular on TV, in 2005 Sean became a team captain on Channel 4’s flagship panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats, and the spin-off 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown. In 1999 he wrote and starred in the cult classic sitcom 15 Storey’s High.

Lock suffered from skin cancer in 1990 while working as a Labourer on construction sites. Sean and his wife Anouska were determined to protect their children from skin infection in 2010. In an interview in November 2010 with Dailymail, the 15 stories high actor said that his partner is careful about sun protection and mostly puts SPF50 cream to their children before they step out of the house.
