A Butler County family court gave Snell primary physical custody and sole legal custody of the couple’s three children, as per the judge’s order on November 22, 2021. The decision comes amid a contentious divorce and custody proceedings between Snell and Parnell. Snell had accused her husband of choking her and injuring their children — all claims that Parnell has denied.

The ruling was after a three-day custody trial, noted that “Laurie Snell was the more credible witness.” “Ms. Snell is grateful that justice prevailed,” according to a statement from the Gilliland Vanasdale Sinatra Law Office, which represented Snell. “She has been awarded sole legal and primary physical custody of their children. Sean enrolled and studied for his elementary education at Clarion University when the towers came down back on September 11. He then transferred to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh to join the ROTC program and after his graduation, he got commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army and went on to Airborne and Ranger school and later joined the elite 10th Mountain Division.
After leaving the Army, he moved back home to Western PA, where he joined Duquesne University and later earned a master’s degree in psychology and started a family.
