Schubert is the evening anchor and news director for KSNB Local 4 in Hastings, Nebraska. Although he was interested in sports and worked as a sports director, he was not interested in journalism until he joined Local4 News in 2015.
Additionally, Spencer serves as Sports Director for WOAY-TV in Oak Hill, West Virginia. where he had the distinction of covering three Division I colleges: West Virginia University, Marshall University, and Virginia Polytechnic University. In addition, Spencer occasionally covers the PGA Championship and Greenbrier Classic. In 2014, the New Orleans Saints training camp moved to West Virginia and Spencer became the news anchor.
