Steve Pickett Biography
Steve Pickett is an American news journalist currently working as a news reporter for CBS 11. Before he joined CBS DFW, Steve worked as his news reporter at KGW-TV Portland. Pickett won an Emmy Award for his coverage of the Iraq War.
Pickett began his career as a news reporter and backup presenter on his KFSN TV ABC 30 in California. After that, he worked as a news reporter at KGW-TV in Portland. In March 1996 Steve joined KTVT-TV CBS DFW as a news reporter. He is responsible for daily reporting on the issues and events that affect and affect the lives of North Texans in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Pickett won a Dallas Press Club Award for his cover of Hurricane Katrina. He has also won an Emmy Award for his coverage of the Iraq War and received professional recognition from the National Association of Black Journalists, the University of Oklahoma Black Alumni Association, and the Poynter Institute.
