Richard Stockton Rush III was an American businessman, pilot and engineer. He was the co-founder and CEO of his OceanGate. On June 18, 2023, he and four others died aboard the Ocean Gate submersible Titan, which was attempting to visit the Titanic wreck in the North Atlantic.

He rose through the ranks to become chairman of Remote Control Technologies, Enomo, Inc. and he served on the board of directors of BlueView Technologies. But Stockton Rush’s passion and business acumen led him to found Oceangate in 2009.
