Tim Trachet Biography

Tim Trachet is a Belgian writer, broadcaster, journalist and skeptic. He studied Mathematics, Astronomy and Philosophy at the Université Libre de Brussels and worked as a VRT correspondent in the production of the historical TV.

Trachet worked in the Prometheus Working Group of the Vereniging voor Sterrenkunde (Astronomy Society). In 1976, there was a focus on critical research on pseudoscience. This committee led to the establishment of SKEPP, of which he served as its first chairman from 1990 to 1998.

Tim Trachet Career

Currently President and Secretary of SKEPP. For a time in the 1990s and later, Trachet contributed to Skepter, the magazine of the Dutch skeptic group Stichting Skepsis. Trachet has been a member of the editorial board of the popular science magazine Zenit since 1988 and works on astronomy, weather and space science.

Trachett has been Deputy Chairman since 2013 [3] (he previously served as Chief Financial Officer of the Board of Directors of the Council of Eurosceptic Organizations (ECSO) when it was founded in 1994. In 2014, Tratchett became the First World Against the 100th anniversary of the War, he wrote about the myths that still surround the First World War.
