Tom Gjelten an American Religion and Belief Correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR). As of 1982, when he joined the organization as a reporter for work and education, Gjelten has worked for NPR. He has covered diplomatic and national security issues more recently, based at NPR headquarters in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Foreign Relations Council.
